Regional Results - August

In August, the Almaty Triathlon Federation passed a "baptism of fire" by accepting in Almaty an international event - the Almaty Asian Cup 2018. This was preceded by many months of painstaking work by specialists of the regional federation, the outcome of which was two days of the triathlon hoiday at Lake Sairan. Thus, August, Almaty 4-5 became historical days for the southern capital firmly inscribed its name in the annual calendar of the Asian Triathlon Confederation (ASTC), responsible for holding continental cups. On the first day of the competition, 51 Elite athletes from 16 countries of the world took part, and on the second day 159 Age Group athletes from nine regions of Kazakhstan took part. International technical delegates of ASTC, who overwatched the launch process, gave a high assessment to the level of organization of the competition.

On August 11-12, in Pavlodar, competitions were held as part of the Cup of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Elite athletes and the TEMIRADAM Cup among Age Group athletes. The organizational work of the two-day competition was carried out by the young Triathlon Federation of Pavlodar region. On the first day of the competition, 50 Elite athletes took part, and on the second day, 31 Age Group athletes. After the end of the competition, participants and fans were satisfied with the level of organization.

We are sure that this is only the beginning of work in the organization of international and republican events for both federations and they will cope with all the tasks aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and triathlon in their regions.
