IX stage of the TEMIRADAM Cup was held in Uralsk

11 August 2019

30 Age Groupers today tested the “sprint” track of the glorious Uralsk city as part of the IX stage of the TEMIRADAM Triathlon Cup. Athletes overcame the distance, which consisted of 750 m swimming in the Shagan River, 20 km of cycling and 5 km of running in the city Central Park of Culture and Rest.

The sharp change in weather conditions did not bother the participants. After all, only yesterday there was heat, and today it is cool +22°C. In addition to all this, the rain that had been falling all night greatly complicated the track.

After the swimming course, the favorites of the race were determined. He were the holder of the TEMIRADAM 2018 honorary title Alexander Khitrov (Pavlodar region), the winner of the 2018 TEMIRADAM cup Dmitry Mashentsev (Karaganda region) and Murat Batay (Nur-Sultan). Dmitry Mashentsev, who spent 13 minutes 16 seconds on swimming, passed the first transit zone with a good temporary reserve. But Alexander Khitrov turned out to be stronger and already on bike course caught up with the opponent, not losing leadership to the finish line. As a result, he showed the best time for absolute individual classification among men - 1 hour 09 minutes 43 seconds.

The beautiful half of the race participants had everything much simpler: the only participant Nurgul Orynbasar (Aktobe region) finished in 1 hour 44 minutes 07 seconds and won the first place on the podium. The relay team Aksai Sport Club (WKO, Uralsk) showed the result of 1 hour 13 minutes and 17 seconds and won first place.

This was the first amateur start held under the auspices of the Kazakhstan Triathlon Federation in Uralsk. The next stop on the map will be Ust-Kamenogorsk.
