Age Group athlete gifted a bike for the project “Sport Without Limits”

26 July 2018

Last Wednesday in Triathlon Park Astana a joint training session was held with the head of the project “Sport Without Limits” - Bakhtiyar Bazarbekov. Members of the national triathlon team Anastassiya Avtushko and Sabyrzhan Kossak, head coach of the Astana Triathlon Federation Murat Aubakirov and permanent participant of the triathlon competition in the Age Group category Zhandos Kaiyrgeldy took part in the short running training.

The reason for this meeting was a worthy act on the part of Zhandos Kaiyrgeldy, who solemnly handed over a bicycle to the Sport Without Limits project so that the project’s athletes could maintain their physical fitness and feel like full-fledged members of the Kazakhstan triathlon family.

In turn, B. Bazarbekov spoke about the training days of the project, which unites visually impaired and blind cyclists, and about the unique intercontinental cycling marathon - BLIND RACE 2018 ASTANA-PARIS, which starts on August 4 in Astana and ends in Paris. Visually impaired participants in the bicycle maro plan to travel a distance of 6000 km on tandem bicycles, while visiting 28 cities in 6 countries. Enthusiasts plan to complete the grand bike tour with a swim in the English Channel.

We hope that this noble gesture of Zhandos Kaiyrgeldy will mark the beginning of a strong friendship between triathletes and people with “unlimited” possibilities! Also, we will be glad to any help from our triathlon lovers to such unique people.
