Oskemen inscribed its name in the history of the Kazakhstan triathlon!

Today, for the first time in the history of Oskemen, several republican triathlon competitions were held. 35 professional athletes from Nur-Sultan, Almaty, Shymkent, Turkestan, Zhambyl and East Kazakhstan regions tested their strength at the "sprint" and "super-sprint" distances. Competitions were held in the Ethno Park, which is located on the banks of Irtysh river.

"The mouth at the foot of the stone mountains", this is the name of this beautiful city, received the participants in the competition with rather comfortable weather: the air temperature was + 25 ° С, and the water kept the mark + 18 ° С.

On this day, U15 cateory athletes competed in the framework of the Triathlon Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the super-sprint distance (350 m swim, 8 km bike, 2 km run). In the categories U19 and U23, the winner of the Final Cup of the Republic of Kazakhstan in triathlon was determined at a distance twice as long - “sprint” (750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run). At the same distance, Elite athletes fought for rating points of the IV stage of the National Cup. Well, athletes of the U17 category had an unusual start. They competed at the "super-sprint" distance in the Gundersen system. According to this system, athletes will compete in two stages and two days.

So athletes were divided according to today's final results.
