30 triathlon coaches trained in Almaty
The event, which was attended by coaches from Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, and Zhambyl, West Kazakhstan, Turkestan, Karaganda regions, was held by the Kazakhstan Triathlon Federation (KTF) in cooperation with the Almaty Triathlon Federation (AFT) triathlon.
Theoretical and practical classes under the general theme “Basic principles of planning triathletes training” were conducted by KTF General Secretary Maxim Kryat, KTF head coach Andrei Glushchenko and head of the KTF competition organization department Sergey Mayer.
The first two days of classes in the form of lectures were held within the walls of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, which kindly provided one of its best classroom. Topics included: Introduction to Triathlon (history of triathlon, triathlon segments); "Equipment for triathlon", "Basics of building a training lesson", "Technical features of swimming, cycling, running training, passing the transit zone", "Pedagogical basics of working with athletes", "Tools for monitoring the training process (analysis of training through electronic gadgets, maintaining electronic diary, data interpretation).
The third day was devoted to practical exercises in the World Class Almaty fitness club. All participants were divided into 3 groups. Each group practiced practical exercises under the guidance of course lecturers. The training covered all three types: classes were held in the pool, in the cycling hall and in the playing hall.
Upon completion of the course, all participants were issued personal certificates and questionnaires were conducted.
As noted by the participants of the seminar, the event was useful and effective, the participants learned a lot of new things and made suggestions on the topics of future classes.
