The final of the National Triathlon Cup was held in Pavlodar
Today the first competitive day in Pavlodar ended, the Final Cup of the Republic of Kazakhstan in triathlon was held at the distances “standard” and “super-sprint” according to the Gundersen system among Elite athletes. 28 athletes from the cities of Almaty and Shymkent, as well as from the Akmola and East Kazakhstan regions participated in the event. The weather in Pavlodar in the morning was not hot, which favored a busy competition day. Thermometers showed 24 ° C above zero, the water kept a mark of 20 ° C.
The first start was given to Elite athletes who competed in the “super-sprint” distance according to the Gundersen system (300 m swimming, 8 km cycling and 2 km running). In this category were 11 boys and 11 girls.
After the swimming program, the junior leader was immediately determined. It turned out to be Rashid Romanchuk, who held the lead until the end of the race and finished first. The second was Murat Zhaken. Top three closed Vladislav Ivanov. It is worth noting that all athletes represent the triathlon school of the Akmola region.
Natalya Korotkova (Akmola region) passed the fastest stage in water. Her swimming time is 5 minutes 37 seconds. However, Korotokova could not hold the first position and she finished only fourth. After the final stage, Ashraf Kamalova (Akmola region), which was only the third after swimming, showed skill and was able to finish in first position. Yulia Ozerova from Almaty finished on the second line, Nadezhda Bekmaganbetova (Akmola region) became the third.
This is how the intermediate result of the first stage of the Final of the RK Cup at the “super-sprint” distance according to the Gundersen system looks like. Tomorrow will be the second stage with a separate start, after which winners and prize-winners will be determined.
The second start of the day was given to Elite category participants competing in the “standard” distance (1500 m swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running). In this race, a particular competition was noticeable: the leaders were determined only after the second round of the cycle stage. The main struggle ensued between Alexander Autushko (Shymkent), Anuar Turubaev (Almaty) and Denis Tunitsky (Akmola region). Alexander Avtushko, who was leading up to the second round of the running program, was unable to maintain his position and finished third. His time is 2 hours 05 minutes 37 seconds. The second place was awarded to Denis Tunitsky, who was 8 seconds ahead of his rival. The “golden” cup of this final was awarded to Anuar Turubaev, an athlete from the southern capital, who finished 2 hours 02 minutes and 38 seconds.
The first competitive day among Elite athletes in Pavlodar was remembered by such bright and saturated moments of wrestling. Further we will have the opportunity to watch the performances of Elite athletes at the second stage of the RK Cup Final at the “super-sprint” distance according to the Gundersen system and the age group athletes who will compete in the National Championship.
