Kazakhstan Triathlon Federation intensifies its activities in the Asian region
Today, Gyeongju (South Korea) hosted the annual Congress of the Asian Triathlon Confederation (ASTC) with the participation of representatives of 35 national federations that are members of the ASTC. During the congress, the results of the ASTC work for 2018 were summed up. Elections to the Executive Board and other committees of the international body were also held. Each national federation nominated itself from among its representatives, among which was the KTF team.
According to the results of the voting, the President of the Central Asian Triathlon Association (CATA), the Vice-President of the Kazakhstan Triathlon Federation (KTF), the head of the Almaty Triathlon Federation, Galimzhan Yessenov, was elected to the ASTC Executive Board with the right to vote. Thus, Galimzhan Yessenov will represent the interests of the Kazakhstan triathlon and will directly participate in solving important issues regarding activities of ASTC.
At the same time, the KTF General Secretary Maxim Kriat was elected to the ASTC Coaching Committee, the KTF Executive Secretary Ainagul Takeyeva was elected to the ASTC Audit Committee, KFT Marketing Director Akmaral Yespenbetova to the Promotion Committee, and SMM manager of KTF Aidana Krebayeva to the Information Committee.
From now on, it is safe to say that the KTF will continue its active work not only within the Republic of Kazakhstan, but throughout the Asian region.
Note that the national triathlon team has been at training camps in Gyeongju since June 13 at the invitation of the South Korean Triathlon Federation. This weekend, they will take part in the Gyeongju ASTC Triathlon Asian Championships, where important points will be played that are included in the offset of the Olympic qualification ranking.
