Astana EXPO-2017 to gather thousands of athletes

The Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan held a meeting with the Chairman of Committee for Sport and Physical Education Yelsiyar Kanagatov, representatives of Astana akimat, NC Astana EXPO-2017, and representatives of Kazakhstan sports federations. During the meeting they discussed issues on preparation and holding international sports events which gather thousands of athletes from over 100 countries. These events will be held during Astana EXPO-2017, including ASTANA ASIA CUP 2017. As a result of the meeting, the participants decided to join efforts in promoting a healthy lifestyle across the population, and in holding events at a totally new level.
