Big triathlon in Kokshetau!

On July 10-11, 2021, Burabay will host two outstanding sporting events - the Elite and U15 Mixed Relay Open Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the TEMIRADAM Cup III stage among Pro and Age Group athletes.

The organizers of the competition are the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kazakhstan Triathlon Federation, the Akmola region Triathlon Federation and the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Akmola region.

With the support of general partners: NWF Samruk-Kazyna JSC, the Sport Qory Sports and Tourism Industry Support Fund, the Eurasian Resources Group, the Samruk Kazyna Trust Social Projects Development Fund and the Akmola Region Akimat.

On July 10, Elite and U15 athletes’ race will be held in the Mixed Relay discipline. Relay teams, each consisting of two men and women, will cover a distance consisting of swim 250 m, bike 6.6 km and run 1.6 km.

Start of the competition: 09.00 h.

Awarding ceremony: 14.30 h.

 On July 11, the TEMIRADAM Cup III stage among Pro and Age Group athletes will take place.

 The standard distance will consist of three stages: 1500 m swim + 40 km bike + 10 km run.

 Goals and objectives of the competition:

 - promotion of a healthy lifestyle and the formation of positive attitudes;

- development and popularization of triathlon in the Republic of Kazakhstan;

- development of youth sports;

- identification of the strongest athletes for the reserve formation of the national triathlon team;

- increasing the level of skill and qualifications of athletes, coaches and sports judges.

Triathlon is a kind of sport, which is a multisport race, consisting of continuous sequential passage by its participants of three stages: swimming, cycling and running, each of which originates from an independent cyclic sport.

"TEMIRADAM" is a series of competitions organized by KTF during the calendar year, consisting of several stages and a final. The winner of the TEMIRADAM Triathlon Cup is the athlete who scored the highest number of rating points in his age group and gender category during one calendar season at competitions held under the auspices of the KTF.

 The Kazakhstan Triathlon Federation is a public organization whose activities are aimed at developing professional and amateur triathlon, gaining leading positions in the world triathlon and promoting a healthy lifestyle in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
