Regional Results - July

Regional federations on an ongoing basis conduct their activities aimed at the development and popularization of triathlon in the regions of the country. In July, several large-scale competitions were held.

So, on July 7-8, in Kokshetau, competitions were held within the framework of the Cup of the Republic of Kazakhstan for Elite athletes and the Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan at the “super-sprint” distance for Age Group athletes. The united team of the triathlon federation of the Akmola region worked on the organization and conduct of the republican start. The event was attended by 60 Elite athletes and 70 Age Group athletes from different regions of the country.

On July 21-22 in Kostanay, competitions were held within the framework of the Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan among Elite athletes at various distances and the Age Group athletes at “standard” distance. The organizational work of the two-day competition was carried out by the Triathlon Federation of the Kostanay region. On the first day of the competition, 62 Elite athletes took part, and on the second day, 50 Age Group athletes from Akmola, Kostanay, Turkestan, Karagandy regions, cities of Astana and Almaty. After the end of the competition, participants and fans were satisfied with the level of organization. Professional athletes have noted an excellent bike course.

We are sure that this is only the beginning of work in the organization of republican-scale events for both federations and there is a no less intensive period ahead of them in preparing for next year’s competitions.
