Updated Age Group calendar for 2020

Here the updated Age Group events’ calendar athletes for 2020. Seven races planned according to the new calendar.

 The long-awaited event of the season will take place on July 5-6 in Burabay, where TEMIRADAM Cup sprint first stage will take place. The same distance awaits triathlon fans at the second stage of the Cup in Kostanay on July 11-12. Further, fans of the Olympic distance will have the opportunity to test their strength in Pavlodar and Almaty. After the "Olympics" on the bank of Sairan, Ironman awaits everyone in Nur-Sultan.

On September 19-20, traditionally, on the coast of the Caspian Sea, the TEMIRADAM Cup Final will take place at the “half iron” distance. The transnational "Shymkent-Tashkent" race under the auspices of the Kazakhstan Triathlon Federation and the Central Asian Triathlon Association (CATA) scheduled on October 17-18. Racers will have to a 1200-meter swim in Shymkent, then a 122-kilometer bike ride from Shymkent to Tashkent and a 12-kilometer run with a finish in the center of Tashkent.

Let us remind you that earlier federation planned to organize 10 competitions, 5 of them were international. We expected an expansion of races geography and an increase the number of participants and disciplines. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has made its own adjustments to the plans of the federation and athletes.

The unprecedented demands for ensuring the safety of life and health of athletes forced the federation to reduce the planned number of participants in some places, also to establish only one distance within one event, making them more comfortable and safe. So, in the first two races (Burabay, Kostanay), triathletes will compete at short distances, then the kilometers will increase.

Please note that the international stages of the TEMIRADAM Cup planned in Tashkent and Bishkek, as well as the CATA Cup final in Dushanbe, not indicated in the updated version of the calendar.
