In Karaganda region will be held the V Summer Triathlon Games of the Republic of Kazakhstan!

July 20-21 in Karaganda region will be held the V Summer Triathlon Games of the Republic of Kazakhstan!

The V Summer Triathlon Games is the national triathlon championship among professional athletes, held under the auspices of the Kazakhstan Triathlon Federation.

Competitions are held with the support of the National Welfare Fund Samruk-Kazyna JSC, the Committee on Sports and Physical Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akimat of Karaganda Region, the Akimat of Karaganda, BI Group company.

Organizers of the competition: Triathlon Federation of Karaganda region, Kazakhstan Triathlon Federation.

Informational support: Committee on Sports and Physical Education of Ministry of Sports and Culture of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Tengrinews.kz, WEproject.

The objectives of the competition are:

•     promotion of a healthy lifestyle and the formation of positive attitudes;
•     involvement of the population in triathlon;
•     development and popularization of triathlon in the Republic of Kazakhstan;
•     raising the level of skill and qualification of Kazakhstani professional athletes, coaches and technical delegates;
•     development of youth sports;
•     identification of the strongest athletes.

Within the framework of the V Summer Triathlon Games professional athletes will compete in several disciplines and distances:

•     Elite category (18-23 years), discipline - triathlon, distance - “standard” (1500 m swimming, 40 km cycling, 10 km running).
•     Elite category (13 years and older), discipline - mixed relay triathlon 2 + 2, distance - 250 m swimming, 6.6 km cycling, 1.6 km running.

Up to 150 athletes from various regions of the republic are expected to participate.

The TEMIRADAM Triathlon Cup VI stage is the stage of the national triathlon tournament among athletes of the Age Group category (amateur), held in order to popularize and develop the triathlon among the population.

The race of amateur athletes at the "sprint" distance will consist of three stages: 750 m swimming + 20 km cycling + 5 km running.

Up to 130 amateur athletes are expected to attend.

Triathlon is a multisports race, consisting of continuous successive passing by its participants of three stages: swimming, cycling and running, each of which comes from an independent cyclic sport. At the international level, the triathlon and its related modifications to multisport racing are regulated by the International Triathlon Union (ITU), which unites 123 national federations of the world.
