The final of the Cup of the Republic of Kazakhstan in triathlon will be held in Pavlodar!

On August 24-25, Pavlodar will host two-day republican triathlon events!

The final of the Kazakhstan Triathlon Cup is the national triathlon championship among professional athletes held under the auspices of the Kazakhstan Triathlon Federation. Also, in order to popularize a healthy lifestyle among the population, the Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan in triathlon among Age Group athletes will be held.

Competitions are held with the support of the Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna JSC, the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Akimat of the Pavlodar Region, the Akimat of Pavlodar city and BI Group.

Organizers of the competition: Department of Sports and Physical Culture of the Pavlodar Region, Kazakhstan Triathlon Federation.

The objectives of the competition are:

- promotion of a healthy lifestyle and the formation of positive attitudes;

- involvement of the population in triathlon;

- development and popularization of triathlon in the Republic of Kazakhstan;

- improving the level of skill and qualification of Kazakhstani professional athletes, coaches and t4echnical delegates;

- development of youth sports;

- identification of the strongest athletes.

As part of the competition, professional athletes will compete in several disciplines and distances:

1) Elite category (13 years and older), discipline - triathlon, distance - “super-sprint” according to the Gundersen system (300 m swim, 8 km bike, 2 km run);

2) Elite category (18 years and older), discipline - triathlon, distance - “standard” (1500 m swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run);

Up to 70 athletes from different regions of the republic are expected to participate.

Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan is a national tournament in triathlon among Age Group athletes, held to develop and popularize the triathlon among the population.

The Age Group athlete race at the “standard” distance will consist of three stages: 1500 m swim + 40 km bike + 10 km run.

Up to 100 amateur athletes are expected to attend.

Reference Information

Triathlon is multisports race, consisting of continuous successive passage by its participants of three stages: swimming, cycling and running, each of which comes from an independent cyclic sport. At the international level, the triathlon and its related modifications to multisport racing are regulated by the International Triathlon Union (ITU), which unites 123 national federations of the world.

TEMIRADAM Triathlon Cup is a stage of the national triathlon tournament among amateur athletes, held to develop and popularize the triathlon among the population.
