Kostanay will host the republican triathlon tournament!

 On July 17-18, Kostanay will host the Elite & U23 National Triathlon Open Championship.

Elite & U23 National Triathlon Open Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan – the national triathlon tournament among professional athletes, held under the auspices of Kazakhstan Triathlon Federation.

On the first day, professional athletes over 18 years old from various regions of the country will take part in the competition. Athletes will compete at a standard distance of 1500 m swimming + 40 km cycling + 10 km running.

 On the second day, the TEMIRADAM Cup IV stage among PRO and Age Group athletes will take place. More than 200 amateur athletes from all regions of Kazakhstan will compete for rating points within the TEMIRADAM Cup. Participants will have to continuously cover the sprint distance, which will consist of swimming 750 km, cycling 20 km and running 5 km.

The organizers of the competition are the Committee for Sports and Physical Culture of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kazakhstan Triathlon Federation, the Kostanai region Triathlon Federation and the Department of Physical Culture and Sports of the Kostanai region.

 With the support of general partners: NWF Samruk-Kazyna JSC, the Sport Qory Sports and Tourism Industry Support Fund, the Eurasian Resources Group, the Samruk Kazyna Trust Social Projects Development Fund and the Kostanai Region Akimat.

Goals and objectives of the competition:

 - promotion of a healthy lifestyle and the formation of positive attitudes;

- development and popularization of triathlon in the Republic of Kazakhstan;

- development of youth sports;

- identification of the strongest athletes for the reserve formation of the national triathlon team;

- increasing the level of skill and qualifications of athletes, coaches and sports judges.

Triathlon is a kind of sport, which is a multisport race, consisting of continuous sequential passage by its participants of three stages: swimming, cycling and running, each of which originates from an independent cyclic sport.

"TEMIRADAM" is a series of competitions organized by KTF during the calendar year, consisting of several stages and a final. The winner of the TEMIRADAM Triathlon Cup is the athlete who scored the highest number of rating points in his age group and gender category during one calendar season at competitions held under the auspices of the KTF.
