The best event of the year on Caspian coast -TEMIRADAM Cup Final!

On September 25-26, the main triathlon events of the season will be held in Aktau for the third time. Professionals and amateur athletes will gather again on the shores of Caspian Sea to test their strengths at a distance called the "Kazakhstan Kona". As all fans already know, this year the TEMIRADAM tournament is reaching a new level: all the action will take place on the territory of the first five-star hotel in Central Asia - Rixos Water World Aktau. Let's talk about everything in order.

Distance

The participants will have to overcome a total of 113 km of the half-iron distance. They will sail 1900 meters in the waters of Caspian Sea. It is worth noting here that the start is on the clean sandy beach of the Rixos Water World Aktau hotel. The bike stage, 90 km away, runs along the road, located on a beautiful embankment towards Solders’ Beach. The bike track is flat and without climbs. And finally, the race will end with a half marathon on the same road to the opposite side of the bike course. The FOP will be located on the territory of the hotel.

Important! Please note that the road along which bike and run courses will pass will be closed by traffic police officers 1.5 hours before the start of the competitions. In this regard, we strongly recommend planning your route and arrival to the FOP.

Program

On September 25, professionals will traditionally enter the start line at 08.00 local time. Elite and U23 athletes will compete in the RK Open Cup final in triathlon at a standard distance. Also on this day, U19 athletes will compete for the Open Cup of the Republic of Kazakhstan in triathlon at the sprint distance. The awarding ceremony for the winners and awardees is scheduled for 14.00.

On September 26, two starts will take place at once - the Open Championship of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the TEMIRADAM Cup Final. Elite, Pro and Age Group athletes will run the half-iron distance. The start of the competition is scheduled for 08:00, and the finish of the last competitor at 16.40. The awards will be held only for Elite athletes. Pro and Age Group athletes will be rewarded at the TEMIRADAM Gala Dinner, which is scheduled for 19:00.

Briefing

A briefing for Pro and Age Group athletes will be posted on the KTF YouTube channel. For the safety of all participants, we strongly recommend that you watch the briefing. And also, we are sure that you will find a lot of interesting things about triathlon on our channel.

Race packs

Registration of the participants of the TEMIRADAM Cup Final and the issuance of race packs will be carried out on September 25 from 17.00 to 19.00 local time at the FOP. We ask you to plan your arrival in the city of Aktau in advance, since race packs will not be issued to third parties. Packages are issued with an identity document or a KTF triathlete license.

The admission of athletes to the territory of the starting camp is carried out through the Ashyq application. To receive the race package, all participants must submit a certificate with a negative PCR test for COVID-19, no more than 3 days before the start of the competition. Inquiries will be accepted at the place of issue in paper form or in electronic form to test-ta-1@temiradam.com. (Be sure to indicate the name of the participant in the subject line).

Having a vaccination passport does not exempt participants from providing a valid PCR certificate for COVID-19, since even after vaccination there is a possibility of contracting an infection. We remind you that for presenting fake PCR certificates, you will be disqualified for one year. You can read more about this here.

What's in the race pack?

The race package for the participants of the upcoming TEMIRADAM Cup Final, in addition to traditional stickers, bib numbers and ID bracelet, will include:

• Invitation ticket to the TEMIRADAM Gala Dinner;
• Commemorative coin TEMIRADAM with a unique design and in limited quantities;

Rewarding

From the very beginning of the season, we have introduced prize money for participants in the Pro category of the KTF club system. Thanks to the support of our general partners, NWF Samrk-Kazyna JSC and the Eurasian Resources Group, as well as the financial partner of the Sport Qory Fund for the Support of the Sports and Tourism Industry, the winners and prize-winners of each stage received not only medals and diplomas, but also monetary prizes. The winners and prize-winners of the final race in the Pro category will receive the following prize money:

Traditionally, we will award the winners of the Cup by age group and the holders of the honorary TEMIRADAM title after the final ranking points have been calculated.

Risks due to COVID-19

Like all of our athletes, we really hope that the final of the year will not come under any sanctions due to the spread of COVID-19. Moreover, to date, all activities have been preliminarily agreed with local services and the regional administration.

Still, let's not forget that the safety of our team members and the entire triathlon community is our priority, and we do not rule out the possibility of postponement or cancellation. But such a scenario is unlikely, because not only athletes who have been training and preparing for a whole year are waiting for the start, but also our entire team.
